Julie holds a Master of Water Resources from the University of New Mexico and is bilingual in Spanish and English.  One of her primary intentions has been to work with communities to pursue their goals. As grants assistant at NMCF, she processes grant funds to organizations that strengthen New Mexico communities.  For most of her career she has worked with communities to help meet their needs; as a Peace Corps water and sanitation volunteer in Honduras, working for New Mexico Environment Department in watershed and wetland restoration, and volunteering and fundraising for various organizations. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, knitting, gardening, and spending time with her husband, two children, and pets.
